The launch night of 'From Cork with Love' will be held right back in the place where it was recorded. The debut album by The Máirtín de Cógáin Project! is set for The Celtic Junction on Friday the 3rd of December, at 8pm.   It’s an album direct from Cork, brought to you.. with love and as much attention as only an exile can give, full to the brim with Cork songs of love, romance, heartache and dreams, with a few stories and mighty tunes.  The album was recorded in The Celtic Junction last Springtime with a live audience, Barry's tae and freshly baked brown bread.
The Corkman de Cógáin has moved with the last two winters to Rochester, MN and is becoming ever more part of the Minnesota Irish community as each day passes. He can be seen on stage year-round in various guises including fronting The Fuchsia Band, singing with Captain Mackey's Goatskin & Stringband and acting, including a recent off-Broadway, one man show, ‘De Bogman’ with BYOB last July.
Máirtín has surrounded himself with a wealth of talent in his Project: Norah Rendell (Candian Traditional Singer of the Year Nominee & The Outside Track) and Brian Miller (Bua, gan an gan), with special guest Nathan Gourley (Two Tap Trio).  The Center for Irish Music will showcase their best students as the support act on the night of the launch.
Tickets are $10 and available from The Celtic Junction and Irish on Grand, online at www.TheCelticJunction.com or by calling (612) 722-7000.
