1/2 WAY TO ST. PATRICK'S DAY CELEBRATIONS PLANNED Half Way to St. Patrick's Day has gained in popularity over the last few years. This year the 17th of September falls on Friday and with it a lot of celebration is planned.

 

 

The Irish Gazette joins in the Celebration of 1/2 way by listing local pubs that will have activity planned. Shamrock's Pub on West 7th Street in St. Paul will have a 2 for 1 on everything on the special 1/2 way menu all day. The Durty Nellys will perform at night and there will be roving bagpipers playing all day. Charlies Pub in Stillwater will have two bands - nationally known Irish Brigade will perform outside (weather permitting) or inside the ballroom from 6PM - 10PM. Also performing outside that evening will be the Rince na Chroi Irish Dancers. You definitely won't want to miss our bagpiper, Anthony Howe, who will perform during band breaks. Inside at the Pub, The Jolly Grogger's will perform from, 7:30-11:30. Celt's Pubs will be running beer and food specials both on Friday and Saturday all day at all four Celt's locations. Cork's Irish Pub in Dowtown St. Paul will be running their Happy Hour specials all day which includes 1/2 price appetizers with music at night. Paddy Ryans Irish Pub in Hudson at exit 4 off highway 94 in the northwest corner will be running food and drink specials to celebrate the day and will have music at night. Keegans will have a big tent up behind the pub and the hot Irish band “Reverse Cowboy” plays at 5 pm. “Four Pints Shy” will follow at 8 pm. Irish Dancers will perform in the tent on Saturday afternoon, September 18, at 3:00 pm. “Reverse Cowboy” plays at 5 pm followed by “Erin Rogue” at 8 pm
