The Sinclair Lewis Writer's Conference celebrates its 20th anniversary with a special celebration of music and poetry on Friday, October 8th at 7:30 pm at Sauk Centre High School Auditorium (903 State Road) in Sauk Centre, MN, the birthplace of Nobel Prize winning writer Sinclair Lewis.
It will feature performances by noted Minnesota poets Robert Bly and Freya Manfred and musical performances by critically acclaimed songwriters John Gorka, Meg Hutchinson, Mother Banjo and John Hermanson (Storyhill, The Hopefuls, Alva Star). The event will be hosted by beloved radio personality Dale Connelly and will be an night to remember with unique performances by award-winning poets and artists. Tickets are $10 at the door and available to the public.
The Friday anniversary concert will kick off the annual Sinclair Lewis Writer's Conference that will be held on Saturday, October 9th at the Sauk Centre High School. Hosted by the Sinclair Lewis Foundation and Sauk Centre Community Education, the conference will feature workshops and panels presented by Kevin Kling, Mother Banjo, Thomas R.
