Keegan’s Pub has opened a new patio located behind the pub at 16 University Ave NE. The “Druids Glen” is away from traffic and street noise. Full food and beverage service is offered daily.
“Patios are a necessity these days since the smoking ban” said Publican Terry Keegan, “and we think the Druids Glen is one of the best in the area. It’s just the right size to be quaint, quiet and comfortable.”
Druids held a special place in ancient Celtic Ireland. They were teachers, healers and mystics. The Druids Glen ties the mystery of ancient Ireland to the Edwardian Charm of Keegan’s Pub, according to Keegan.
The patio is a work in progress with Celtic ornamentation being added as the summer wears on.
